5 Ways to Give Back This Holiday Season

Here at The Williams Home Team, we are committed to giving back to the community. We are constantly becoming involved in new projects with our Gifting For Gratitude Program. Our team is always asked how others can become more involved. We put together a list for our followers so that everyone can get into the holiday spirit of giving back this season.
Adopt A Family
Make a family’s holiday wishes come true by gifting them their Christmas presents. Check your local church or organization to be connected with a family in need. This is a great way to give back. Not to mention, it’s extremely fun to shop for others!
Give Back To Our Civil Servants
Don’t forget, not everyone is off for the holidays. Show your gratitude by dropping off a simple treat, or even handwritten holiday cards. Our team recently dropped off goodie bags with hot chocolate packets and candy canes to our local police officers, firefighters, and first responders. The smallest gestures can mean everything to those who serve the community.
Help Your Local Animal Shelter
Even though we wish we could adopt all the dogs in need of homes, there are still more ways to bring joy to the pups and kittens until they find their forever homes. When snagging Black Friday deals to replace blankets and towels, do not throw your previous ones away. Keep them and drop them off at your local animal shelter. Give the dogs and cats an extra bit of comfort while they eagerly wait for their perfect owner match.
Donate Food To The Homeless
Help feed the homeless by packing lunches or donating nonperishables. You can put together a lunch with simple foods, such as oatmeal packets, granola bars, fruit cups, crackers, and more. The list goes on! Haven Ministries is always looking for volunteers. Visit their website for more information on how to help the homeless.
Random Acts Of Kindness
You can give back in your everyday routine. Next time you’re in a Starbucks drive through, pay it forward. If you see someone struggling while carrying groceries bags, give them a hand. Little acts of kindness can be the hope someone needs. Be the person to start a chain of giving back. Be the reason for someone’s smile.
